- Expand on our “Blackbird” project, a Kubernetes based application which scrapes cloud endpoints to give us full visibility of our cloud estate
- Develop tooling using persistence team expertise which assists teams in the running and management of their persistence clusters
- Support and maintain Sky’s risk management and problem management platform
- Write performance testing tooling which enables us to effectively assess new technologies
- Participate in and help co-ordinate sprint planning and retrospective ceremonies
- Orchestrate knowledge sharing and training sessions to relay your coding skills and guidance to the rest of the team
- Find new and innovative ways to automate the measuring of persistence related maturity at Sky
- Good knowledge of coding and testing in Golang, Python or Java
- Experience in working within Agile teams
- Some experience with NoSQL based persistence technologies like Cassandra, Couchbase and MongoDB
- Experience with Kubernetes, ElasticSearch, Kibana, Prometheus and Grafana
- Experience of and understanding of Linux operating system
